ACI Motors Limited Executive Director Subrata Ranjan Das said that the young generation of Bangladesh is now leaning towards quality motorcycles with advanced technology. This is essential for safe movement. According to the sales report of the last three months, Yamaha has emerged as the market leader in the 150 cc motorcycle market in the country. He recently spoke to (Bangladesh Pratidin) about the contribution of ACI Motors, one of the country's largest companies in the automobile industry. Subrata Ranjan Das said, ACI (Advanced Chemical Industries Ltd.), one of the industrial groups of Bangladesh, is doing business with reputation in consumer goods, supershops, medicines, fertilizers, pesticides, agricultural products, food products, poultry feed as well as automobile industry.

Although the pharmaceutical industry started as a company, today 25 companies have formed a large industrial group. In addition to product production, attention has been paid to product procurement and marketing. The company has more than 50 percent share in the modern agricultural machinery market. ACI also has business in commercial vehicles, motorcycles etc. ACI Motors is supplying the world's leading China Photon brand cars to the domestic market. The world famous brand Yamaha motorcycle of Japan has won the hearts of millions of young people by marketing it in Bangladesh.

He highlighted these topics in the discussion. About the bike preferred by the youth of the country, this ACI official said that the youth of Bangladesh are now leaning towards technology and quality motorcycles rather than cheap bikes. So we have brought the high technology and best quality motorcycles of the Japanese company Yamaha in front of the youth of this country.

He said, a large part of the motorcycle is in the 100 cc and 125 cc segments. But today's youngsters prefer 150 cc bikes more. Here as of last three months the market leadership is occupied by Yamaha. Yamaha owns 15 percent of Bangladesh's total motorcycles. Out of this, we have 31 percent market share in 150 cc.

ACI Motors is currently marketing FZS V2, FZS V3, R15 V3, R15 V4. MT 15, MT 15 V2, FZ-X for bikers and 110 cc scooters 'Street Rally' and 125 cc 'Saluto' for beginners. Subrata Ranjan said, we are the first in the country to launch fuel injection technology motorcycles.

The benefit is that it is fuel efficient and environment friendly. Also its performance is very good. Braking and balancing is very important on the roads of Bangladesh. Yamaha is very good in both aspects. We are the first to bring the bike with ABS technology to the country market.

Stating that they are ahead in after-sales service as well, this ACI Motors official said, "After Yamaha joined us, we have done the most to connect with the bikers. There are 110 3S (Sales, Service, Spare Parts) service centers across the country. We provide repair service within 30 minutes. This means that someone will start servicing your motorcycle within 30 minutes of visiting our servicing center. At each servicing center, we diagnose and repair motorcycle problems through YDT (Yamaha Diagnostic Tools).

When asked about the potential of commercial vehicles in Bangladesh, Subrata Ranjan Das said that commercial vehicles are playing an important role in the country's economy. At the same time, it is creating employment in the construction and industrial sectors. He said Foton is the world's largest selling commercial vehicle brand, selling more than 1 crore commercial vehicles with presence in over 100 countries worldwide. More than 2,000 customers in the country have chosen Photon brand vehicles for advanced technology pickups and best after-sales service.

Regarding the supply of suitable commercial vehicles for the country, the executive director of ACI Motors said that currently the middle class entrepreneurs are the main customers of Photon cars. ACI mainly markets one to one and a half ton commercial vehicles. In the future there are plans to market different models of cars according to customer demand.
